Road Safety Awareness Programme Conducted by Builders Engineering College with Tamil Nadu Police Department at Karur

            The Faculty of Management (FoM) of Builders Engineering College (BEC), Kangayam, Tirupur, conducted Awareness Programme on ‘Road Safety’, as a part of participating in AIMS National Management Week 2018 celebrated by Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) on 07.08.2018 Tuesday at Karur Bus stand.

Builders Engineering College joining hands with Karur District Police Department and Agam Koothu-P-Pattarai, Chennai have organized this awareness campaign.

Police officials welcomed the participants and spoke about the objectives of the Road Safety Awareness Programme. The salient features of this programme includes, Distribution of pamphlets on road safety to the public, Educated the public about the different types of roads and how to act on each road (e.g. Speed limit), Demonstrated appropriate behaviours in and around a vehicle, Demonstrated safe bike riding practices, Cultured about using suitable strategies to keep themselves safe and how to help other road users in need of assistance, Communicated about the issues relating to drinking and driving.

The program was inaugurated by Thiru T.K.Rajasekaran IPS, Superintendent of Police, Karur, Thiru M.Kummaraja, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karur Town and Thiru Marimuthu, Traffic Inspector, Karur and Dr. P. Govindasamy, Principal, Builders Engineering College, Nathakadaiyur, Kangayam.

Professors and Students from Faculty of Management Builders Engineering College, Police Officials and General public participated in this programme.
